As a result of the investment forum held on 29 April in Aktau, Education Directorate of the Mangistau Region and M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University JSC signed a memorandum of cooperation.

Last week, University representatives visited the western region of the country to attend an investment meeting with the leading companies, business communities, philanthropists, and government agencies. Natzhda Korobko, deputy chair of KAZGUU Board, and Zhanna Bayseitova, director of KAZGUU Endowment Corporate Fund, spoke at the event.

The parties expressed their certainty that the agreement reached at the meeting will provide a momentum for the development of higher education and meeting the region’s needs in qualified specialists.

In particular, Eraly Tugzhanov, Head of Mangistau Region, noted that Mangistau Region is currently experiencing a shortage in specialists. To address this issue, the head of the region ordered to establish 50 scholarships sponsored by the Akim of the Region, for young and talented school graduates to study at the best universities of Kazakhstan and the CIS, including M. Narikbayev KAZGUU University.

According to N. Korobko, effective interaction among all the stakeholders of the educational process, along the lines of the new agreement, will allow to maintain the positive dynamic that has been noted in the professional education space in the region.
